News of the announcement in December 2018 on the intention by IBM to sell a number of their software assets to HCL for $1.8 Billionis well known by now. It is expected that the transaction to sell Notes, Domino, Connections, Sametime, and Websphere Portal among others will be completed in mid-2019.
